MINISTRIES

Community Building

We believe God is a relational God, not only does God want to share with us love, we are also called to love one another (John 15:12). The spiritual journey of Christian Faith is not a solo adventure, but to build a community where all are being nurtured and cared for. We welcome all to join our church service and fellowship.

The Hub organizes big group activities, such as outings, community workshops, and cultural exchange programs. The Hub hosts different small groups catering to different needs and groups of people. We now have:

  • Young Adult Fellowship

  • Dumpling Fellowship (Mandarin Speaking)

  • Fellowship for Asylum Seekers and Refugees

Please Contact Us if you are interested in joining one of our groups.

The Hub takes care of vulnerable members in our community and wider society. We visit vulnerable families and members regularly to share the love of God, and we set up a fund to meet the different needs of them.

“Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.”
 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Faith Development

We believe that faith is a journey, not a destination. We are invited to embark on this path of mystery through Jesus, the gateway. We work to cultivate a safe space where spiritual journyers can question, heal, and grow, each according to their pace and capacity. We offer different classes to faith seekers, including Bible study and Baptism class, exploring Christianity in dialogue with other religious and spiritual resources, and social phenomenon and theories.

Faith Reconstruction

Living the Questions is a series of studies unfolding the wisdom of progressive Christianity. It helps believers to question, as well as to reshape their faith, and find inspiration and wisdom to live out a meaningful faith in the 21st century.

We now have an English-speaking study group and a Cantonese-speaking study group.

Faith Development

We provide different classes helping our congregants to engage in church life and different ministries. The ecumenical movement reminds believers to witness Christ’s love and justice in the world we are living in. Through becoming a church member or partner, we participate in God’s ongoing mission in the world.

Some topics we explore:

Discipleship

Christians are Christ followers, modelling the footstep and lifestyle of our Lord and Mentor, Jesus. Discipleship focuses on helping church members to discover personal calling, gift, and mission in response to God’s love. It helps our members to live a life aligning to God’s mission in the church as well as in the wider society, to bring healing and transformation through love and justice.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:2

Social Engagement

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me… Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

Matthew 25:35-36, 40

1 / Public Forums

The Hub organizes different forums in response to different social issues, engaging the wider society to have a deeper understanding on each selected topic. We invite experts, theologians, frontline service providers, and people with first-hand experience to share with us.

The Hub also goes to different churches, schools, and other groups to share our ministry and vision.

2 / Solidarity

The Hub works with different local and global churches and NGOs concerning different issues, including migrant workers rights, refugee welfare, and environmental crisis, etc. We hope to bring social change and transformation through these networks and display solidarity with the people in the margin.

3 / Dignity Fund

The Hub sets up a fund to help vulnerable members such as asylum seekers and refugees to face their different challenges in Hong Kong, to live a life with dignity and freedom. Through designated donation, we are able to match donors with specific needs in our community. You may contribute to this Dignity Fund by designating your donation to it. Please click here to donate.
